Rampage VS Lidell

Stefen have you seen the first lidell vs rampage fight ?

Dana white threw in the towel... lidell was getting owned so bad in all aspects of his game.

I think Rampage still has it in him. Either way the fight will be entertaining

Rampage outboxed him, out grappled him and grounded and pounded better then him. Total domination... for 7 minutes.

It was the first really big Pride VS UFC fight and the last once since Dana had to throw in the towel agaisn't a pride B+ fighter.

I think Liddell is much better fighter than he was when he lost to Rampage the first time and any fighter can lose any fight. I think Liddell is getting old but he has a great chance to solidify himself as one of the greatest ever if he does pull it off. BTW Rampage is far from a B level fighter in pride or any other MMA league. Just because Shogun handed him his ass doesnt mean hes a B fighter.

I said B+... He was an A fighter when he fought wanderlei but he lost some momentum... look at his record closely

I'm not saying Lidell dosen't have a chance but anyone saying he's gonna hand rampage his ass is stupid.

I understand you're quite an expert. Can you tell us a little about how long you've been training MMA? Where you train and who's your instructor? Just curious.

I agree. That would be a stupid statement for most MMA fights. I seriously cannot wait for this one. The Crocop card looks very nice as well.

I think he's right. I'd love to be proved wrong, but I think Liddell is a far better fighter than he was when he fought Rampage all that time ago. Jackson seems to have plateaued. Look at thier records since then.

Jackson; a decision to win over Dong Sik Yoon, 2 losses to Wanderlei, a loss to Mauricio Rua, with wins over Lindland, Eastman, split decision win over Murilo Rua.

Liddell; 2 KO's over Randy Couture, TKO over Jeremy Horn, TKO over Renato Sobral, TKO over Tito Ortiz, and a KO over Vernon White.
7 Straight victories. All tough, tough opponents.

While I agree Jackson is a great fighter and I'd like to see him win, I don't personally see it happening.

You don't have to be pro trained at MMA to know who has a chance to win and who dosen't. Read the following post, especially the end of it before commentating.

I've seen all of prides fights (without any exception, skips or fast forwards) since pride 1.
I've seen most recents fights (last 2-3 years) in the UFC and tons from other organisation. Attented to lots of events live too.

Anybody saying that Lidell will win hands down is one of theses uneducated fans that go with crowd favorites because they watch a freak show instead of a sport(ufc votes sometimes are just the opposite of the betting odds). Tons of people talking about shit they don't know.

I've been following what goes arround in the sports and watching what goes on behind the scenes, unlike most people here.

And here is what I base my judgement on :

1 - Dana White comentated on Lidell's prestation on the morning show after the Randy fight. The one where Chuck was barley able to sleep and felt asleep. (can be seen on youtube, interviewed by sherdog.com)

He said : Lidell has been VERY sick for the last few months. His people aren't supporting him and he refuses to see someone. He called lidell's team dumb asses if i recall right.

2 - Rampage has the best boxing defence in MMA (my opinion)

3 - Lidell's style haven't changed all that much since that fight with rampage. He needs a damn good game plan to beat him.

Page has been knocked out twice, two of most incredible knockouts in the MMA history. Everyone knows it takes a lot of time to get back to full force when something like that happens. He took it and now he's ready.
He haven't been through any serious injuries lately

Now all the guys saying that Lidell will win have to bring me a damn good argument... Lidell didn't improve that much if you ask me... maybe his ground defence.

P.S. I'm in no way saying Chuck has no chance to win, but anyone saying he wins hands down is fucking stupid and talking out of their asses.
