#4. Get even BIG. If someone hits you, hit back harder. Don't take crap from anyone. Once someone walks all over you, and you let it happen, everyone else will see that they can do it too.

Even the smartest, best, most successful people eventually hit their peak and start going downwards... whether it's a change in markets, age, enthusiasm... what ever... if you lose your momentum, don't let it take you under. Do something, even if it's retiring.
#6. Always have a pre-nup. It's the most unromantic thing in the world to say to the person you want to be with forever, but it has to be done. Too many business people lose everything because it just doesn't work out. No matter how great they are/were at business.
