Fling: 24 signups and no conversions..

what's up gfy fam..

in previous posts, some ppl stated it took awhile for their signups to convert, but how long is "long enough" before you consider promoting another site?

i have no idea what these surfers are doing on that site, but they are there now.. it seems to be normal thing, for such slow conversions.. do you think it a good suggestion to have the owners offer a per "initial signup" payout?

flow me your thoughts..

peace

Changed my traffic source and noticed a big difference:
A) TGP & Exits
B) Organic SEO/niche traffic

A) Same amount of traffic, Jan 1 - Feb 14 = 5 reg, 0 paid signups
B) Same amount of traffic, Feb 15 - Mar 15 = 40 reg, 5 paid signups

Dating traffic takes time to convert sometimes weeks or months. How long has it been?

hey there julian/vander

thanks for the replies.. i'm pushing niched traffic and it's all from se' to my site, and to Fling.

i started promoting them around March 6th, so it's not even a month.

i don't heavily promote them, so the users obviously are curious.. if it's just a matter of waiting, so be it.. it's just testing my patience lol

Yeah I would give it some more time and see. It seems the traffic on dating sites at least for me takes a bit to convert. Hope the best

Yesterday we did 212 free profiles and 14 paid...

It takes time for the free's to convert to paid, those 14 paid are probably from free signups from over a week ago when we weren't sending as many free profiles.

I did pretty well last month (probably 1 in 10 from free to paid) but this month so far has been pretty lame, and that is with a mix of this that and the other, mostly off of niched blogs and splogs. Like many programs, I find if I try to push it too hard in too many places, the success goes way down.

right on guys, i really appreciate the info you're flowing.

i've just started analyzing my traffic.. (i.e. se terms, the pages hit) and this is helping think on the right sponsors to push on my site. my users obviously are looking to get some booty, or are just lonley.. they click on alot of the dating ads from my ad network.

when i find a sponsor that works, i'll crap my pants probably lol

peace
