What about sponsors whose password retrieval system is broken and whose system also won't let you sign up for a new account because you already have one?

Some sponsors don't accept PO Box

Then use the street address of the post office and the box number as your suite number. You'll still get your mail and the party sending the mail won't know the difference :thumbsup

I started using a PO BOX about 4 years ago because I was tired of going through what the thread starter is going through right now.

The NATS verify email is so you can make changes, not so you can approve them.

In some ways it's better that they don't let you change things automatically.

For instance if someone hacks or figures out your password, then changes the pay to info and the mailing address for the checks, you wouldn't notice until you were missing a check or two.

I have no problem having to go through verification (ie sending the request from the email addy you used to sign up with or calling them from the phone number you have on file with them) but they should handle it promptly in cases like that. 24 business hour turnaround is reasonable IMO.

I agree.

We have things set up so that you can change pretty much everything yourself, but the _key_ stuff you need to get verified... and that verification is tyically handled the next business morning or as soon as I'm reached on ICQ... whichever comes first.
