they aren't answering the phone or support tickets.
there are no auth codes for transfer. this is a shitty situation.

and other registrars are sympathetic, but their hands are tied.

I was a little lucky in that the only domain I've had expire at Registerfly was the only one that was still through eNom and I've sent the stuff off they asked for to transfer it. Registerfly charged my card, but didn't renew the domain and I can't admin it.

I'm still waiting for the transfer of the other domains I have at Registerfly to go through. They all have admin access and auth codes.

Luckily the last few domains I have with registryfly are in the "pending transfer" staus with Moniker.

Why not give Bari a icq and see if they can get the names for you?

They charged my card without doing the renewal, apparently the same thing is happening with Paypal:

I suppose bari works at moniker?
what can they do for me?
i doubt they can get my auth codes and approve the domain transfer to be approved by registerfly which is another problem...
i am not sure how long it usually takes to transfer stuff out... but 5 days and counting does not make me very confident that the domains currently pending transfer WILL actually transfer.

thanks for now... moniker should have posted somewhere on gfy before that they can get names unlocked and epp codes before
this is a huge thing that I am sure a lot of people would take advantage of... having an inside man in such a situatation is worth something.

You are welcome Trax.

BTW - The reason I didn't post on GFY about having an "inside" connection at RegisterFly was because it all just happened this morning. You beat me to the punch with your post and now everyone knows.

Anyone who needs help transferring names out of RegisterFly and over to Moniker please hit me up!

Thanks

Is icann going to do anything to intervene at this point? I thought they were supposed to be a governing body to ensure registrars are doing their job.

This is what John Mauriello of Moniker told me:

I'm not sure if you got a response to this message. But Per ICANN all names are Locked down as of right now and registrants will not lose names. All names set to expire will be renewed and sorted out after the breach is sorted out. I recommend you contact Registerfly again request the EPP codes needed for the transfers and once you have them initiate transfer into Moniker. We will work with ICANN and Registerfly to complete the transfers.

The problem I have is that Registerfly changed my who is info and locked it so I cant change it back. They also deleted the epp codes so instead of showing me the code it says RF. And to top it off as Im sure you already know they arnt answering support tickets or their phones. So at this point theres nothing I can do.

Hey Smoke

That information was released 2 weeks ago. I've been working with someone at RegisterFly directly and he's been unlocking names and issuing EPP codes so peeps can transfer over to Moniker. If you're looking to transfer out of RegisterFly and over to Moniker, hit me up.

Thanks

if you need epp codes, and registerfly support isnt responding, try the method below, worked for me.

---------------------------
If you are continuing to experience unlocking, auth-code, privacy service/protect-fly, or other whois problems preventing transfers, please send me an email with the following details:

1. all domain names affected;

2. your registerfly account name;

3. the email address associated with your registerfly account;

4. a brief explanation of the specific problem (in other words, say "I can't get auth codes from the control panel," or "I can't unlock my domain name in the control panel," or "I can't log into my control panel" etc.);

5. the date when you last attempted to do the thing you can't do.

Before you hit send, please (PLEASE) double-check to ensure that you've included all of the details listed above. If you don;t include the details above, we will return your email to you with a request for additional information. This will slow the handling of your complaint and also unfairly limit the availability of resources for other registrants.

Please use email address [email protected] . You will receive an auto-response / anti-spam verification email, so be sure you are writing from an email address you still have access to or I won't get your message.

Read this:
http://www.registerflies.com/registe...10-2007-4.html

The guy at icann who is all over this is Mike Zupke - he helped me get a domain out that had been locked up for months and had no auth code.

After I emailed him ([email protected]) I had the domain transfered within 48 hours.

Just make sure you give him the requeseted info - he is slammed right now.

I paid to have several domains renewed with RF, and all they did was take my money. I just got a contact with enom she transfered all my domains but 3 to enom.

Here is the kicker she transfered my domains that was showing expired too but then wanted $160.00 to renew them. I asked why should I pay $160.00 to renew with her when I already paid once with RF. She then said well if you can prove you paid to renew with RF she will do it for $80.00. WTF

I'm glad I made screen caps when I renewed my domains, because now when I login to RF and search for the renewal order it's gone. But I have the screen cap that shows the order number the day it was paid to be renewed. And my online banking shows all the charges with RF. I don't know what RF is doing but I got about 5 renewal orders that I paid for and have screen caps and it's no where in RF system now. I guess I need to do charge backs with RF since they don't have any support.

So trust me I feel everyones pain on this mess.

Actually this is the one type of ticket that I've had RegisterFly reply to. Open a ticket and tell them you paid and didn't get service and include the invoice numbers from their accounting section. They'll be more than happy to refund you but for their life, they can't provide the actual service. They're pretty good on refunds, just not providing service... LOL
