subway all the way baby!

vidvicious 03-14-2007 09:07 AM

Quizno's all the way .. but then again subway is toasting they're sandwiches now too .. However quinzo's Toazt the sandwich open face before they add the fixin .. keeping your lettusce crisp ..

I'll stick with my first answer .. Quizno's ...

wish we had them in quebec :(

Peaches 03-14-2007 09:09 AM

We don't have a Quiznos, so it's always Subway.

But Hofers makes the best sammiches evah :)

CDSmith 03-14-2007 09:28 AM

In any poll with Quizno's vs Subway the winner is always going to be Quiznos. Their subs have way more meat, as their ads say.... they don't skimp like Subway does.

At Subway if you want extra meat you have to pay extra, but even if you do, the sub you get at Quiznos is still better. It just is.

However, Subway isn't all that bad, and for me they are much much closer to my home... the nearest Q's is about 3 km away. The nearest Subway is within walking distance.

BlackCrayon 03-14-2007 09:33 AM

i've always found quiznos much better.

CDSmith 03-14-2007 09:36 AM

I never get them to toast my subs anyways, preferring to take them home and toast them in my own oven.

Mr. Romance 03-14-2007 09:40 AM

Quizno's... there meats seem higher quality

OMG, just saw your title - you nutcase :winkwink:

Our Subways toast them now too. Subway SEEMS to be a better bet if you're trying to slim down <------------ me.

Penthouse Tony 03-14-2007 09:50 AM

The Subway nearby me only places one olive slice on each tomato slice. When I ask for more olives than just 3 measly slices they charge extra. It's happened more than once so I stop going there.

It's got to be something the owner told them to do. I watch them carefully pick out olive slices and place them one at a time on each tomato slice. It would be much faster to just grab a handful and spread a layer of them down then move on to the next topping. Has anyone experience this at another Subway?

ha ha... I wondered how long it would take. :D

Yeah, I'm glad it's the Subway that is closest. I don't go there all that often, but I too could stand to lighten my bucket by five or thirty lbs. :warning

Brad 03-14-2007 09:54 AM

Subway for me...Quizno's is over priced and I don't even like toasted sandwiches.

Peaches 03-14-2007 10:04 AM

We also have a local cuban place here. AWESOME sammiches there too :) He makes me a great cuban coffee - I think he's trying to get me hooked before the new Starbucks opens.

BigB 03-14-2007 11:20 AM

Baddog...
you get out here to Pasadena?
stop by....

We will go to

Genes Grinder in Monrovia CA
or
Lees Hoagie House in Pasadena CA

You will never eat quiznos or subway again!!

Big B

VIPimp 03-14-2007 11:23 AM

Both are good...

Quiznos: chicken mesquite, no bacon, add mushrooms.
Subway: chicken bacon ranch, no bacon, toasted.

porno jew 03-14-2007 11:28 AM

Great, I can drive an hour for a sandwich instead of 5 minutes. :1orglaugh

Sly 03-14-2007 11:47 AM

I go to the deli at this health food grocery store, huge sandwiches for just $3.50. Lasts me two meals.

I get a wheat roll with turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and mayo. Fantastic.

SilvercashJeanette 03-14-2007 11:50 AM

Subway all the way!

Now I'm getting hungry...

JaneB 03-14-2007 12:24 PM

I would go to Blimpie's.

Peaches 03-14-2007 12:31 PM

Now I'm going to have to look at CD's title several times a day ;)

james_clickmemedia 03-14-2007 01:29 PM

I prefer Quiznos however have not been to subways in a few years. More has to do with which one is nearer to my office and there is not a subway anywhere near....

madawgz 03-14-2007 01:30 PM

Subways all the time :thumbsup

ArkansasDave 03-14-2007 02:04 PM

Jarred is still fat under that make-over and Quiznos tastes like Jarred.
Hit up the taco shop.

I've never been to a Subway that toasts the sandwich after putting anything on other than the meat and cheese. They always add the veggies and condiments after the toasting.

And I have been to a lot of Subways.

Snake Doctor 03-14-2007 02:32 PM

Here's a better question.
Which one would you rather own and why?

fuzebox 03-14-2007 02:41 PM

Totally depends on the mood I'm in... I don't really get toasted sandwiches at Subway very often, but I do like their cold sandwiches.

Also Quiznos has that cheese brocoli soup that is just amazing...

Shrug, I eat at both regularily :)

Good question. Subway for sure.
Subways are the the least expensive major franchise to start up and they are all the way across the country.
Every highway/interstate/truckstop etc.. you will find a Subway.

galleryseek 03-14-2007 02:45 PM

quiznos for SURE food-wise.. but the quiznos franchise is *very* bad.. quiznos corporate SHITS on all of their franchise owners... they don't give a fuck about territories.. i spoke with a local quiznos owner the other day about it, they don't care if someone opens a quiznos a quarter mile from you, they don't care if it'll fuck up your business :/ they have a ton of lawsuits against them.. and it's why that dude in california committed suicide because they ruined his business :/

loverboy 03-14-2007 02:47 PM

Subway -- hands down

-a

ArkansasDave 03-14-2007 03:15 PM

Quiznos. Subway has a nasty reputation of letting franchisees open too close to each other. Plus there's no Quiznos in town :thumbsup

Just read this - I've heard the same about Subways.

Bottom line - make your own and sell them :)

Probably Subway due to brand recognition plus I am aware of the training procedure they put franchise owners through. . . . but I would make my personal sandwiches better.

flashfire 03-14-2007 03:25 PM

I say subway....bigtime

HeadPimp 03-14-2007 03:48 PM

Probably neither. But if forced to choose, I would go with Subway. Not because I like them better, but because I am still get flashbacks of Quizno's dancing dead rodent ads when one of their commercials come on.

That was one of the most stupid and disturbing commercial series I have ever seen. Next scariest was Old Navy with the Giligan's Island ripoff theme. The old lady was just a little too creepy hanging out with the dog if you know what I mean.

AK 03-14-2007 03:53 PM

is Panda Express nearby? lol
j/k ..
i'd go with Quiznos

No way sagi!!!

When I was a mere student of television one of our assignments was to go out and sell a commercial, shoot it and get it broadcasted on local cable .. while most students went to the pet shop or furniture store . I went to Subways not only did I sell my commercial (for cold hard cash, no other student did that) I got mine broadcasted on Network rather then local . And I was called back by Subway chain to make a documentary on how they prepare they're subs .. Damn they used to have a specail way of cutting the bread too (they've stop doing that) Anyhow .. I'm getting to a point I swear!!! ... In the video they made it a point to say that Fixin are free .. as little or as much as you want .. ANd back then Subways guarenteed a min of 5 oz of meat per foot long .. This no longer applies ...

YOu're getting ripped by that Subways owner, send a letter to the head office ... though it doesn't sound like subway is as hungry as it used to be .. DAmn they were the fastest growing chain in canada and the us ... Back then

Martina Warren 03-14-2007 04:25 PM

Subway for sure!

Elli 03-14-2007 04:27 PM

I find a real deli.

KustomKowgurl 03-14-2007 04:31 PM

Quizno's hands down, every time. I won't even eat at Subway anymore, regardless of how much closer it is. The quality of ingredients is just better. Every time I go to Subway something is gooey or stale or almost rotten.

Spunky 03-14-2007 04:40 PM

Quizznos..toasted tastes better

KingRedOnion 03-14-2007 05:10 PM

subway, the uk doesnt have a quango

MissMina 03-14-2007 05:24 PM

Quiznos.....
