				Charge on Declined Credit Card
			 I went trough this already several times. Trying to buy something online, get declined, but charge on my bank account shows up. WTF? I don't understand this.. Can someone explain why this happends? Thanks

				 | yah i hate that.  at certain stores here in costa rica, when i try to use my credit card, it's declined, and i KNOW the money is there.  and when i go home to check online banking, the auth is shown there.  it gets cancelled within a few hours though |

				 | It's because your Bank approved the transaction but the merchant's processor/gateway declined it. This could be because your bank required a voice authorization, the address didn't match or some other reason. Most merchants just decline voice authorizations. The charge/authorization should drop off after 3 business days but some banks keep them there for 10 on debit cards. |

				 | they are probably holding the funds. Once the charge does not go thru in 3 days, the money is released into your bank account again. It has happened to me before, it's upsetting but nothing to worry about. |
