the second link wasnt a popup example just an example of a bug in firefox. it may not work the same way for everyone but the point of the firefox example is it shows an "add to favourites" on google from the last site you were on.

Thanks for testing:thumbsup

This is another great example of why .xxx will become reality.

That's a stretch :2 cents:

I get an exit in Firefox on the first link, and see the bookmark "hole" in the second. Nice work as always, Smokey.

SmokeyTheBear 03-09-2007 11:43 AM

Actually no, it's not. No, this one thing won't be the deciding factor but more as a whole of a great example of how the adult industry operates - the "can't take no for an answer" mentality.

At some point, the powers that be are going to have had enough. That point will of course be driven by the public who are tired of having to deal with people/industry that can't "take no for an answer".

When you force stuff down their throats even when they've said "I don't want that" and the surfers have taken steps to acquire software to prevent it from happening - you're part of the problem - not the solution.

.xxx will happen (though no, not over-night) and this is an example of why. Have you not noticed that many high profile adult .com names are being sold recently? Do you really think that's a coincidence?

do you like commercials on t.v. ? does anyone ? when tv programs do product placements because people are going out of their way to use tivo like devices to skip the ads do you think tv channels are "forcing ads" on you..

hmm the largest popup provider on the internet is for mainstream and has been for some time. i fail to see how popups help nor hurt .xxx. Moving adult to .xxx wont stop one popup , you will still go to cnn and see popups . so what your suggesting is .xxx will be pushed into effect because it wont help deter popups ? hmmm your reasoning is faulty.

Everyone makes mistakes , you wont look foolish admitting you spoke in haste because you don't like popups , but your statement was faulty.

These days i see more popups on mainstream sites so i guess that means soon they will move mainstream to .mainstream ?

SmokeyTheBear 03-09-2007 08:54 PM

let me ask you this if you can be rational..

I assume you have a website right ?

If someone doesnt like your ads and goes out of their way to block all your ads and uses a site leecher to download all your files to display offline , you lose money .. Correct or incorrect ? Do you like losing money ?

Did you know sites like yahoo burn your bandwidth while disabling all your google adsense codes making your advertising worthless ? did you know sites like zango scopp all your sales right out from under you..?

Guess what , when someone uses my shit making me no money , i find a way to make money .. dont like it , click the close button .. am i right or am i right.. you dont like ads on tv turn it off, if your mad you bought a piece of software that disables tv commercials , dont blame them for trying to get around you attempt to thieve from them..

SmokeyTheBear 03-09-2007 08:55 PM

if you go out of your way to view my pages in a way that wasnt intended ( ie block my ads ) im going to block your attempts to do so.. its as simple as that , if you steal from me , im gonna try to make money from you.

SmokeyTheBear 03-09-2007 08:57 PM

if anything its people that bend over and let themselves get robbed that put a bad mark on this industry .. " oh well i guess its ok people steal from me , im just gonna sit and complain"

Bama 03-09-2007 09:01 PM

Smokey, there's just no other way to say this but you're an idiot. Your examples are moronic and I hate to burst your bubble, but when it comes to the actual "top" industry people that you have tried to include yourself in, you don't rate being a gnat on a dog's ass.

No, no one likes commercials during television but they are a necessary evil but that's not what you're doing here. Your "hack" is like a company sitting outside your house during a television show and over-riding the program to shove more commercials down your throat instead of the program showing - above and beyond the scheduled commercials.

2 TOTALLY different things but you're the "short school bus" rider so I don't expect you to grasp that and I don't have the time to talk sense into you simply because I just don't feel it would take on you.

In any event, it's dinner time and it's time for you to go back to being off my radar. You're too small of an industry person to rate further conversation from me about the topic.

what you mean to say is you have created some inane example of someone sitting outside your house in your deluded world hacking ads onto your site..

The fact you would call me a "short school bus" rider because you disagree shows your maturity.. seriously , grow up grab a brain..

SmokeyTheBear 03-09-2007 09:42 PM

$10 says this troll comes back after he said he wouldn't and tries his same moronic spiel..

popups cause .xxx lol ultramaroon i tried to be nice , i extended the olive branch , but you had to continue acting the child so i schooled you..

my advice is , act like an adult and you will get treated like an adult. Make stupid statements and you will get a retort . have a good dinner

Twitchy 03-09-2007 09:43 PM
