Wow. The dot mobi guys cleaned up. Wish I had got on that now.

TOG.com finally got sold as well for a decent price, seems like that guy's been trying to unload it for ages.

This is what I love about domain names. You can buy them, try and develop them, and when you fuck up, unlike every other business, you sell the domain and make the profit you couldn't make developing:

Blogster.com sold yesterday at $275k, but was bought a few years ago at $100k

I just don't get it either. I don't see anyone ever doing any keyword.mobi as a type-in, and no browser ever is going to do a look-up to consider a .mobi site.

I can't see paying more than $4.99 for any .mobi

Now I'm getting the ICQ's by the dozen as the noobs see the $$$ from the auction.

Guys, type "Dombuyer" into Google and read my tutorial before contacting me with your fresh reg's.

I would have thought a lot of those would go for much more.

I have two one word .infos, I wouldn't sell for less than $50 000 each.

I might have to wait another 50 years but what the heck ;)

And given that MyBlogLog just sold to Yahoo for $10M two weeks ago, with only 33k users, $0 revenue, I'd say even at $275k, that might turn out to a killer deal.
