    View your sites at 56k...

    Found a neat tool to look at your site with various low level bandwidth options. Check it out:
    http://www.dallaway.com/sloppy/index.html

    Seems to load it in whatever your default browser is too.

                                  I went to some of my faves at 56k and 128k and man am I glad I have fiber!!! The 128 was not too bad but 56 is miserable.

                                          The point of the thread tho, is vital. I have a 5/512 connection here which loads just about everything in the blink of an eye; but I also maintain my old Earthlink dial-up account for testing and use on the road. This gives me ~50k here and ~26k at my in-laws, which makes for some eye-opening (or closing, lol) load tests. I also test using my Windows SmartPhone and PSP for access.

                                          While the dial-up tests on my new pages was frightening, I've moved away from designing for dial-up only this year; since my stats now show less than 15% of my visitors are now on dial-up.
