Just got a call from Cingular, "you must manually update your cell time" - GoFuckYourself.com

I just get a call from Cingular saying that I have to update the time on the phone myself. Due to the changing of time happening this year, at a different time. WTF is this? They dont install patches and shit?

Both of my cell phones stopped working last afternoon. I was able to recieve calls, but not make calls. We passed a Verizon phone store and decided to stop in. Turns out our phones both needed this "update".

Would have been nice if someone told us.
