This is using awstats in cpanel. Now i know this cant be right can it?

No, it is way off. Awstats counts the favorites by hits on the favicon.ico. Since Firefox etc request that file it can be off by at least the amount of your Firefox users. And now with Explorer7 out, it also requests the favicon file and inflates those number even more.

I should explain that further. Pretty much all browsers, besides Explorer6 and below + some other exceptions, make a request to your favicon with every visit to your page, which would inflate the figures in awstats.
The earliers Explorer browsers only requested the favicon when the user actually 'favorited' the page. |
