Unfortunately that is not all she has done - and to say that free speech is involved I would totally agree if all she has done in her words is call people names - she doesnt always stop there - she has incited college students to turn on their fellow students at speeches (physically), called on a president and a court judge to be assasinated and so on and on - which she always laughs off later as being jokes - however being a lawyer she should know that if it were someone that was not a conservative brown-noser they would be under secret service arrest already and charged with threatening a government official

Haven't heard about the calling on a President and Judge to be assasinated. It is illegal to threaten the President, and probably a court judge. I would definitely like to see the documentation on those two.

Well, I don't agree with her on this, but the US has executed people for less during wartime in the past. We used to take aiding the enemy very seriously.

A real good example is when Air America did a humor skit a few years back that included a sound byte about gunshots and the prez - the governments response - "
"Even joking about shooting the president is a crime, let alone doing it on national radio . . . we are taking this very seriously," a government source explained. . . ."

In court cases the joke part of it has been upheld if everyone hearing the statement knew it was a joke - but that brings up the interesting case you see in airports now - with the signs about "joking about bombs" - the scenario seems to have changed considerably

Coulter is 45 +/- (apparently she has lied about her age in the past - she's pretty much a pathological liar), and she has never been married, and yet she questions other people's sexuality?

From what I read, I didn't see her threatening or calling on anyone to shoot or kill the President. When you do that, expect a visit from the men in black. None of what she wrote there was a threat, but was written in the context of comedic political writings. Otherwise, they would have had a flashlight up her ass. The left would have made sure of it. Unless, you think they are going to investigate Bill Maher for his comments about the attempt to assasinate Cheney, then what she does is fair game.
