January 1, 2008 The ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) came to power, the lives of adult webmaster changed drastically. On April 1, 2008, the ICANN carried out the first nationwide, planned action against them: a boycott all Adult web businesses. ICANN spokesmen claimed the boycott was an act of revenge against American and foreign webmaters who had criticized the ICANN regime. On the day of the boycott, ICANN Storm Troopers blocked thousands of adult websites and painted a large ".XXX" in red across thousands of doors and windows of adult site owners. Signs were posted saying "Don't Buy from adult websites" and "The Adult Webmasters Are Our Misfortune."
