How many uniques without sales before moving on?

How much traffic do you normally send with no sales before you move on to a different sponsor?

depends on the history I have with that sponsor. For a new one: 4000 max.
Long time sponsor: keep sending as long as I trust them.

Man, you guys give too much credit to your sponsors. Well, I guess if you're advertising an over-saturated program you'de up the numbers.

            What a strange question....

What do you make with that traffic with other sponsors?

Just do the math.... is it making more or less money than the others?

dunno who your question was directed to but i'll answer:

adult: minimum of $15/sale (1:800 max)
mainstream: minimum of $25/sale (1:200 max)

questions like these are impossible to answer really or to get anything usefull as an answer.

if im sending 50 a click adwords traffic my numbers are going to be way different than a popup console from a 95% skim tgp

Actually I think most people would agree that your suggested 1000 clicks is way too minimal to get an accurate stats reading. Sending 3000 clicks with nothing and then sending another 3000 clicks with 10 sales is not uncommon at all.

The first half of February one of my main sponsors was doing about 20% normal. This week they're running about 300%. Changing sponsors after every 1000 clicks will have you so busy changing sponsors that you'll never fully learn and understand how to promote an individual site.

It depends on where my traffic is comming from. SE/LL traffic it's 0:1000 and tgp traffic it's 0:5000.

                          5000

But it totally depends on the type of traffic and the reputation of that sponsor.

I have a few sponsors where i've gotten to 5000, dropped them and then a short time after I make a sale. Hate it when that happens

Depends on where the traffic's coming from.

Eh, I kind of agree. It all depends on the traffic you send, of course. In my case, my traffic converts like I said above. That's basic SE and wishy-washy traffic. I've analyzed my sources and the traffic it's produced for years and the above stats are my average ratios.

I promoted Nasty Dollars for about two years ending with around 1:200 ratio, some of the Topbucks sites convert extremely well too, over-saturation is a urban myth

Eh, I dunno how to answer that one. But from what I've learned from trial and error is that when I started pushing methodcash sites I was getting 1:300 tops, but once I started referring webmasters to them from here and other boards my ratios dropped significantly.

Depends on who they are, their sites, their reputation, my traffic, etc..

I have 3 sponsors I consistently make several sales every single week, so I throw more to them to increase my sales.

Also, giving up early, like after only 1000 or 2000 clicks is really not too good of a way to judge a sponsor either. For example, some time ago I had links up to ARS FHG, etc as well as their feeds & I was way up there, like 0:11000 or something like that, then one day BAM BAM BOOM!! Now my historical & overall with them is 1:400 & it's consistent. Why did I let it get up to 0:11k without dropping them? Because of their reputation & my previous experience with them.

Now, this won't happen with everyone, but what you need to think about is what is it that your traffic is looking for? In my case, perhaps the first 11K were looking for something else, but as my traffic continues to grow & my SEO improves, so do the ratios because it becomes more on target.
