I used to go for drives all the time by myself. usually i do it to think so I turn the radio off and just hit the highway and see where I end up. I usually go up to cottage country bc the roads are more open and really fun to drive on.

Ummm no never . I don't like to drive in new places I've never been to, I only like to drive around where I live. I get kinda afraid not knowing how the freeways are going to merge or how the road is going to curve etc... Seriously
I might get lost and it might get really hard for me to get back home.
I also have a lot of anxiety about driving on the freeway and car accidents, I would never ever drive to another state myself. I would rather fly.
It's ok if someone else drives me but I can't drive that much in uknown freeway territory.

Even driving to los angeles from Orange County which is 1 hour is a MAJOR road trip for me. We got lost because we didn't merge on the right freeway and ended up in some scary as shit industrial places and it was hard to even find a gas station to ask for directions.
If you exit the wrong place in LA you could get shot if you accidentally go into gang territory in some of the ghetto neighborhoods, same in OC too in some of the ghetto areas.
I have to go on a roadtrip soon to LA to renew my passport up there at the embassy, I'm actually nervous about it... 1 hour drive is already an adventure for me, and it's only 1 hour if I actually don't get lost.
I am a "pussy driver", I'm not an aggressive driver so I get end up missing exits or merged freeways a lot because I have so much anxiety when driving... Plus people are rude a lot and don't let you go in front of them, I can only go when there's a a big space.... So I end up exiting at the wrong place and having to backtrack a lot. I always feel overwhelmed and stressed when driving.
Plus I have this phobia of dying in a car accident. That's how most healthy young people die, in car crashes. I got so scared after seeing mangled bodies and crushed vehicles, I really hate driving!!Last edited by bausch; 03-03-2007, 04:32 PM.Comment

I don't do it anymore since my car is very shitty.. but sometimes did it before for 30 minutes or less... I once took a 3h roundtrip drive but to sex a girl... besides that there was no other reason.

I do that all the time... just go on wandering drives in the middle of nowhere just to see what I find. Sometimes I'll find interesting shit, like cool antique shops or some hidden backwoods gun shop or a nice classic car for sale wicked cheap sittin in someones driveway or front yard.
I love driving in the summer in my old cars... I'll drive for miles to a new cruise in or same old ones, just to check out other cars, sit around & hang out while other people check out my car.. Can't wait for spring
