Thats just the way the world works. People that do not have money want to appear that they do, people that have money could usually care less so they drive the normal cars maybe something medium nice like a 2007 Acura or something.

I had neighbors growing up that were millionaires and you would never have even known. Now I also had neighbors that drove 70k cars but that had these weird for sale signs in their front yard that said... foreclosure

I understand why really really old people (like 75+) are cheap because many grew up with nothing or were alive during the depression, etc.

Ok you know what a lambo was a bad example cause most of those guys do have a little money not as much as they claim but they got money. Its more like the guy next to you driving that 2007 Escalade or some fancy BMW. Not all of them just like 80%.

yup..

reminds me of people when you go out to eat at a restaurant. the tab shows up and first thing i do is throw down a 20 my dinner is usually around 12-15 bucks. next thing you know there are 3-4 people in the group wanting to see the tab and pulling nickles and dimes out of their pocket. it's like fuck 5 bucks big fucking deal.

i mean im not rich but man if you can't afford 20 dollars to go out and eat then stay the fuck home.

No one is obligated to donate to charity, even rich people... If I was worth 7 figures I still wouldn't donate, thing is I don't HAVE to, I can choose to do with it as I want because it's mine. I don't owe anybody anything.

I've known a lot of people in my life that spend every cent they get. they have a nice car, house and everything else and are in debt up to their eyes. If they ever lose their job and are out of work for a few months they are in deep deep trouble.

When I was in retail guys would drive up in their Mercedes with a nice watch and suit and get denied a credit card while a guy in a 10 year old car with overalls and shit on his boots gets a huge line of credit because he doesn't have much debt and saves his money.

It has nothing to do with being cheap. Some people just know that spending all your money on bling is a shitty investment. The guy you think is "cheap", isn't spending his money on a 90k car, he's spending his money buying stocks, land, and other things that will make him more money.

I am so anal about saving money these days since I had a real 'wake up' moment in life two years ago. I will probably never be rich because I too afraid to spend much of my savings to take risks but those savings have saved my ass recently too.

when we lived in LA we met so many people that drove kickass brand new bmw's, yet we would go to their homes and it would be a 1 bedroom studio apartment

so many people are concerned more about outward appearance so that others will accept them

LOL...not me, I have a nice savings built up and I drive a 1991 isuzu rodeo, haha...never got into the whole car thing, I want something that goes from point a to b and that is it
