Mechanics & they're often lazy too.

I brought my truck in for a brake line recently & some schmuck tried to tell me it was 4 hours labor & about $75 in parts.

He nearly shit himself when I got irrate with him & told him that a brake line cost less than $15 & the labor was less than an hour. He didn't know who the fuck he was lying to.. I know cars & normally fix everything myself, but not with damn mountains of snow outside I'm not. Went to mida's & it was done in 45 minutes & less than $100 total.. Most garages get anywhere from $50 to $80 per hour. Anytime you get a quote from a mechanic & they tell you how many hours, demand to see the labor manual. Manufacturers print up manuals & guides that specify the amount of hours each specific repair takes.. demand to see the manual for the repair you're getting done. As far as parts go, they buy from same places as anyone.. parts stores, but they get a discount price, then they'll mark it up 200% or more to make extra $$$ if they're a snake like most. Call around parts stores & price the part to see if you're getting ripped off.

I don't see dentist's ripping people off, but suppose it can happen..

Lawyers, bet your ass they rip people off & lie.

Cell phone companies... yeah, they got so much fucking fine print & will screw you anyway they can

Helped a computer illiterate recently with buying his first "real" computer.
The salesguy repeatedly tried to shove the more expensive stuff (same crap) on him and was obviously on commission..

very true. kind of disheartening. but I hear happiness is the best revenge and I feel that the car dudes who have been fucking with me lead very boring, nothing else to do lives.- look at me I work at carmax for 10 years and I don't have the balls to come out from my office 'meeting' to acknowledge a customer in person whom I've been fucking with on the phone for a month.
