Oddly enough, my experience has taught me that the truly good looking men don't think they're good looking. The average and less than average seem to have a MUCH higher idea of how good they look.

Women - we're lucky. We can fake it. When I was engaged I worked with a girl who was GORGEOUS. She lived in the same complex we did and came over one morning w/ no makeup on. She was about as plain as plain could be. A solid 4. We honestly didn't even recognize her and she had to tell us who she was. And this was someone we both worked with EVERY DAY.

How someone feels about themselves can be based on how many other people who look similar to them, and how they rank within that group.

Apparently I'm better looking than I think when I compare to how I think other people look. Meh. It only concerns me if someone I like and am attracted to is attracted back.

I think I'm pretty, but still average...

I have heard that I'm hot, but I usually don't believe it. I do however think I have a great personality and am very sweet and friendly. That may be what makes me "hot" to some guys.

Besides that, I hear ALL THE TIME that I look like Renee Zellweger (and I don't think she's attractive at all)
