I'm deaf, but happy

Damn, just got back from a Slayer concert earlier tonight and my ears are still ringing...one of the best damn shows I've seen in a long long time....

Soul Fly totally blew me away as well...

if you only see one show this year, make sure it's Slayer....or Ozzfest....

hard to believe these guys have been around 20 years and still play as aggressively as always.......

I saw SoulFly with Rammstein. Talk about bad match-up. SoulFly totally did not do it for me. I was just waiting for their set to end... Blah. I hate overly policial musicians. I'd pay $50 to kick the guy from Rage Against the Machine in the nuts.

That's cool that Slayer still got balls. I'd like to see them one of these days, even though their last couple albums have sucked, it seems like their last album has them getting back in their groove.

Actually, I think "God Hates Us All" is one of their better albums and was my favorite album of last year....of course nothing will likely ever top "Reign In Blood" or "Show No Mercy"

I thought about going, but I've got a friend visiting from Florida that's into Abba, and crap like that, so I didn't figure he'd appreciate Slayer. I'll probably check out the Misfits, or at least what's left of them, on the 28th.

take them! convert them! hehehe, a couple years ago I had a friend who was mainly into hairbands and pop metal crap, so I took her to a Slayer show and a few weeks later to an Obituary/Napalm Death show and she became a convert and is now busily buying stuff from EyeHateGod, Bolt Thrower and Godflesh....

Fuck yeah, saw Slayer live a couple of years ago,
fucking awesome. They´re still kicking some mean
ass after all those years.

Weird, they played with SoulFly as a support band
that time, and they sucked.

The line up of that festival was (local band) / Angra /
Helloween / SoulFly / Slayer / Iron Maiden (w/ Blaze Bailey)

The only time I've seen Slayer was around 1989 with Motorhead and Overkill in Daytona Beach. It was general admission, and they had seats set up on the floor. As soon as the lights went out people started trying to move the chairs out of the way, but they were fastened together, so they started lifting entire rows of chairs and throwing them while the people behind them ran for cover. Security closed down Overkill's set early so they could clean up the mess. Overall it was an excellent show.

Slayer has been here twice since I moved to Vegas and I've missed them both times. Maybe next time.

They come here quite a bit....unfortunately, they usually play House Of Blues which isn't as accomodating to mosh pits as when they used to play The Huntridge and Thomas and Mack....

I was at Ozzfest at Polaris in Columbus, OH on the 3rd. I plan on attending the Soulfly / Slayer concert on the 23rd at the same venue!

Ill Nino and Flaw were ungodly on second stage at Ozzfest. The downside was the 95 degree heat with 100% humidity for 10 hours straight (mosh pit wasn't too enjoyable after about 2 hours worth).

Don't waste your time or money, the "new" misfits are a goddamn disgrace. Fucking awful.
