I am in dire need of some help. ICQ issues:(
OK, I will try to make this the short version of my problems today
I have had my tech over here a good part of the day trying to work out issues. This all started with my work station rebooting in the middle of a project. Then it would boot me off the internet randomly, like every 2 minutes...had to start in safe mode, then got the MS blue screen and now when my ICQ starts to launch I have to hit cancel or it will freeze up my system. The weird thing is, is that when the system freezes, the only thing that works is the curser...I can move it around, but can't click and launch any programs. I have cleared the cache and scanned the system with every program he and I could think of just to be safe. There were no visuses or spyware detected. I purchased a new modem and router today but I am still having the ICQ issue. I guess I should have said, since I installed the new modem and router everything seems to be running smoothly....so far....knock on wood... The only thing is the ICQ issue. Has anyone had anything like this happen before? And if you did, how did you fix it? If I dump ICQ and launch again, how can I save my contact list? I dont know if this si the problem, but it sure looks like something is screwing up with ICQ. Any help is greatly appreciated

ICQ is as tempermental as a pissed off mother in law. I have never quite understood why this industry uses it as a general rule but they do. Getting bumped off of ICQ or not being able to log in is quite normal for it. It's an unstable unreliable piece of garbage.
