Few months ago Serge made a post that Greg Lasrado (ex owner of intergal) was looking for an appartment in NY near Memorial for a small kid called Stanley that is suffering from cancer for upcoming trip seeking the last hope.

I felt the need to help as the least duty towards a kid. After reading Greg's page talking about this event I got further surprised reading that Stanley is a greek boy living in Australia with his family that he had met not long time ago, he became his uncle and he would cover near most of the cost of his treatment in NY.

I got in contact with Greg believing I could offer some help. He explained me the situation and thanked me for getting in hold with him. I contacted my partner because his brother was renting an appartment near Memorial 1-2 months earlier and could had been still available. I gave him the contact info of the owner and my partner's promise that she (the owner) could help him and Stanley's family to find another appartment in the area. In the meantime if I remember well the family managed to find an appartment and Stanley's treatment would start in the next days :)

We tend to judge people from what we read or hear without knowing them at all. Greg's image is not the best in the eyes of many webmasters. I know he is very clever and i doubt if any from our industry could reach his wealth. Currently from what I read he has expanded to some big mainstream projects.
Beyond all this what I saw it was a great attitude from someone giving the hope to a kid to fight for his life. I haven't contacted Greg since then to ask how Stanley's health is and most probably I won't because I want to avoid any bad news. I keep Stanley in my mind from the photos I saw and I hope he is good wishing him the best.

Everyday we have the opportunity to give a small help or support to people who need it, but most of the time we ignore them feeling secure for ourselves and keep living in our world....

I'd call it a scam because he's proclaiming to be a fan to get something for free only to make a buck off of it. I'd try sending a fully clothed pic of Tawnee - with a watermark that says *OF NO COMMERCIAL VALUE* along with all copyrights at the bottom of the pic AND a notice that this picture is not to be copied or sold as it is a copyrighted item.

This way, he could have his cake - but he could only hang it on his wall. WOULD you pay for something like that?

At first I was going to give Lightspeed some serious shit... in fact, I'm guessing they didn't know the guy was a scammer. In that instance, he would deserve it.

However, this fuck is obviously sending the same goddamn letter out to everyone to get free shit. There is nobody with more empathy for the disabled then me... but it's obvious that this guy is completely insincere and getting as much as he can to profiteer.

I'm talked to multiple disableds on the phone back when I used to do my own customer service for my paysites when I was managing my own merchant account.

Hopefully someone like this guy doesn't ruin it for all the other good people that every now and again send real fan mail or ask for some help... As far as I'm concerned it's cool to give stuff away and be good to people, life and karma tends to be circular.
