Seems kinda dangerous to me.. unless you have a pocket full of lawyers or live in some country they can't go after you in. Well then it's probably not worth the risk.

there seems to be more and more sex video youtube sorta sites sprinkled around and i would like to start one myself, but was just unsure on how the law is on it, such as for the 2257
compliance and all that

The youtube based sites are a good advertising tool.if i had a video oin my site id make 30-60 second clips slap the url at the bottom of the vid and upload them to these type of sites. It could be used for some good free marketing.

Those sites are not good beacuse with them you give toomuch free porn to surfers.Some videos sites mostly have clips extracted from sponsor fhg's but some even have full videos from 10 to 20 minutes.Comment

So the 2257 compliance laws are ok for these sort of sites? that is the ONLY thing i care about at this point. so that i am sure that a youtube-porn clone site is OK under 2257
to allow uploading and stuff for the user members

the only reason these sites get big is because they offer so much free content. How are you going to compete since you are playing FAIR and they are playing UNFAIR.
Your site is doomed to failure from the start. Why would they go watch your 15 second clips when they can watch 20 minute movies on pornotube / youporn.Comment

effort to crack down on people uploading copywrite material. Here is an interesting April 2007 Cnet article about a filtering system Google has been trying to dev and launch.
