this is fucked up: montreal and toronto is loosing gas!
a few gas stations in toronto have been closed down and a few here in montreal..

Simple issue, really - a couple of small fires at refineries in the last few weeks made those ones shut down. Restarting a refinery in the middle of winter isn't the easiest job on the world, so it is taking some time to get them back up to operating levels. Because supplies are kept short to avoid getting caught out by price hikes / drops, issues like this can cause shortages at those stations involved.
I saw one in Montreal, kitty corner with 2 other stations with plenty of gas and no lineups. |
