Day 5 in Virginia and I'm loving it ... Great place

    Day 5 in Virginia and I'm loving it ... Great place

    We took a little family trip to a place called Massanutten and it's great. I've been skiing .. snowboarding ... they have an indoor water park that kicks ass for the kids. it's just a great place. I'll post some pics of the view when i get back home on Sunday. the condo's are great .. hot tubs/ sauna / fire place .. just can't be beat. we own 3 different time shares and i think I'm transferring 2 weeks to this place .. one spring/summer and one winter ... they say they have some great fishing and golf in the summer. the snow tubing was tons of fun .. it's a 7 hour drive but well worth it for me .. the kids are having a kick ass time and everyone has something to do. hell the wife took a stained glass class and a glass etching class. she loved it and we have some fun stuff to take home. I may consider moving here one day.. the people are great.

    OK .. i have snowboarding at 8AM and then back to the water park at 3 .. then have to find time to pack up for the ride home on Saturday .. it's going to be a full day tomorrow.

      Virginia has scary scary fucked up laws. I don't think it's a safe place for us gay homosexuals. You breeders can keep that state for yourselves.......

              dude .. my wife has been doing crafts with the kids while I'm out with my buddies hitting the bars and slopes. the water park was fun but they even have a great bar with a glass wall so you can watch down on the kids and it's nice. I won't take the craft classes but the wife and kids are loving them. I'm here with 2 other families and it works out because the older kids watch the younger ones at night and we can have fun I'm having a great time .... I did go on a wine tasting tour with just the guys (mainly to get drunk ..lol)but that could seem a bit gay ...lol it was interesting and we did buy some great wine.

                  how is the waterpark? i fuckin love those things, i am heading up to edmonton here on the weekend the slides there are amazing. but you have to dress warm.

                      the park is set up great .. they have 3 big tube slides .. 2 just on your back slides and your standard lazy river. but hen the have a artificial wave that you can surf and some great hot tubes .. even i nice bar that servers great food and an arcade .. i got a 3 day pass and I'll be using all three days . you can spend the entire day there with ease ..

                              Virginia really is a kick ass place. I get down there a couple time a year (for work) but I normally stay a week afterwards. Go in the Summer too though, the skiing kicks ass in the winter, but the view is unbelievable in the summer.

                                                      I loved VA... have a bunch of family back there, and got to spend sometime about 2 years back.

                                                      I'm def a Cali boy and could never live there... but was a great change of pace for a few days.

                                                              I just got home .. about a 7 hour drive but it wasn't bad. I have to say that I've been traveling a lot the past 2 years but just on biz and it was really nice to be away for a week with the kids .. they really had a good time and ear to ear smiles all week. I even did some body boarding on one of those indoor waves and had a blast .. I have pics I'll post of my fat ass on a boogie board when i get a chance ..
