i just found out about this ear wax candle stuff......i was sold on it from the woman at the spa.....but i wasnt going to let her do it to me tonight....i had to research it cuz its my ears.... |
I don't really buy into shit like that but my wife does use them and loves them .. they do appear to fill with wax so I'd have to say they work. give them a try .. it can't hurt
|
heard about it, I don't think I wanna try it

the wax that comes out of the end of the tube is NOT the wax from the candle itself, no one is that stupid to mix the two up one is paraffin, the other is nasty stinky goop.....you have to be an idiot to think the paraffin turns orangish brown and starts stinking...LOL |
another thing I always notice is the amount of yeast that sucks into the tube too, sometimes there is more yeast than wax
but of course, according to the doubters in the thread, the yeast just happened to be in the wax of the ear candle and gets dislodged when burning so that it looks like ear yeast....LOL...oh wait, maybe it is ashes!! hahaha |

I would have lost it, I HATE ANTS |
Don't listen to the candling hippies... ear wax softener (carbamide peroxide) or oil.. leave that shit in for a few hours. Little turkey baster looking syringe. Warm Water.
POW, ear wax out. |
I just keep one of those "snot sucker" things in the shower, and fill the sucker up a couple times once a week and blast a jet of water in each of my ears.
Cleans the shit out totally. |
It's basically the same thing my doc did once when I was a kid to dislodge a block of hardened wax
|
I had the syringe and warm water last month from doctors after a infection, felt so much better and all the problems i had went away.
|
damn thats a pretty sick ass problem to have lol

hehe this thread is perfect for me.. I think i will be the most experienced person to answer this question..
I have tried every single method mentioned in this thread.. I burst both ear drums during a scuba diving accident when i was young. Causing years of infections and deafness. Infact i bet most people dont even know smokey is deaf :) Well deaf is pushing it , i'm hard of hearing, really hard. I dont wear a hearing aid as my hearing dropped off at a faily slow rate as i learned to lip read. Ok so i should start off with the most mentioned method ear wax candles.. If you haven't tried them stop telling people they dont work.. they DO work.. but theres a big BUT.. as mentioned they CAN cause more damage than they help As jace mentioned , theres no mistaking ear wax for candle wax , candle wax is generally the same color as the candle and doesnt stink. Ear wax smells and is often discoloured. But as far as results, ear wax is on the bottom of the list.. I will mention some general rules.. ever hear the saying " never stick anything smaller than your finger in your ear" Thats prob your safest best.. not even q-tips, they arent to enter the ear canal they are for swabbing your ear not the canal. If you want your ears cleaned go to a doctor have them cleaned , if you have frequent ear wax you have a problem make the doctor look into it.. |
