How about being able to see each day of the weeks earnings, instead of just todays and yesterdays.

I would like an indicator of how this month racks up against last month. Let me explain...

Let's say last month I send 10k clicks and 10 sales to Yappo. This month I already sent 12k clicks and 12 sales. I click the This Month tab and next to Yappo for both traffic and sales I see a little green dot, indicating better then last month. A red dot indicating worse than last month.

This may sound trivial and someone may be saying "why not just flip between the tabs?" Yes, of course thats possible but I really think some type of quick indicator would be valuable information to have on the fly.

This is on our to-do list. It won't be easy and the functionality will be limited but we'll try our best

This is already possible.

If you want to see detailed stats for a certain day you can just use the custom tab.

If you want to see the total stats of each day for the week, just go to the this week tab, right click on total gross or total net and select 'Show Details'. The same goes for last week, this month, last month, etc...

No, he wants "easy tabs". Would be very helpful in determining how the week is going.

Click Monday, see who did good and bad. Click Tuesday, see who did good and bad. Click Wednesday, see who did good and bad.

A lot easier to analyze data.

SR is a great product, but more data analyzation tools would really make the product more valuable. By the way, I just found out analyzation isn't a real word. WTF?

The question is what is 'better'? More revenue? Better ratio? More sales? What if your revenue is higher but the ratio went way down? What if you send almost no hits anymore to a sponsor and are lucky to get a sale, i.e. you have a great ratio but only $30 this month instead of $5000 last month with a worse ratio? etc...

JB, I would really like to see some kind of campaign breakdown. I've set up campaigns with the affiliate programs, but I have to check them manually to see what campaigns make me more money. I would be really neat if I could set some internal campaigns in statsremote and then choose which campaign from affiliate program belongs to which one of these campaigns. This would help a lot.

Also another vote for Mac version, I hate to have a windows machine around just to check my stats

I explained what is "better" or "worse".

More traffic, a green dot in the traffic column. Less sales, a red dot in the sales column.

This is something we've been thinking about before. The problem is that we always need to think about the load our software produces on the stats servers. If hundreds of people check the same stats all the time, we really need to be careful how many queries the software makes. If you, for example, have 10 campaigns for one program, StatsRemote often would need to make ten times as many queries.

Ah, OK. I thought you meant an overall indicator which would be difficult. If it's for each column this should be possible.

ok I would like to make another suggestion that I think would make SR top notch.

As suggested above about tracking campaigns but take it a step farther.

Set SR up with the ability to have groups. So I could have SR check the overall stats but then also add in my campaign stats under it.

Same thing would work great with CCBill you could have the main account and then add in all your sub accounts.

So this way you could see your main stats with a quick overview and then expand them to see the rest.

As I said above, in many cases StatsRemote would produce way too much load on the stats servers. We've been experimenting with this and for quite a few programs StatsRemote needs to make more than 100 queries per check.

We might be able to add this feature for some programs but definitely not for all of them.

As for CCBill... I'm not sure if I understand you correctly. If you right click on CCBill and select 'Show Breakdown' you will see the stats of all individual accounts that are merged under your main account.

The breakdown was added last July.
http://www.statsremote.com/new.php?version=3.8

And in December we added daily stats of individual CCBill programs.
http://www.statsremote.com/new.php?version=3.9

It might be a good idea to read the news page from now on when you update StatsRemote

JB, maybe it would be a good idea to contact programs and ask them to prepare some XMLs for you, so you don't bomb them with that much queries You both benefit that way, it's easier for you and they don't have to buy a new server

these are the same people who can't put together a validating RSS feed that makes any sense.

you think they can be trusted to put together well-formed, properly authenticated xml feeds of affiliate stats... suitable for import into statsremote?

Actually there are some programs that already provide special xml stats for StatsRemote but I can't imagine communicating with 1000+ programs about this. From my experience in the last 5 years most of the times people have a hard time to understand what we actually need or they are just not willing to help (which I can understand as it's not really their problem).

I just scanned through your emails from the past and I couldn't find anything that you requested that was either added (e.g. CCBill breakdown) or I gave you a reason why it's not possible to add it. Since there are a few hundred messages from you, it's quite possible that I missed something though. If you don't mind, please email me your suggestions (again) or post them here.

JB, it is their problem as you bomb them with that many queries. I know I would prepare something for you if your software was bombing my server. But I do understand you, some of these programs really don't have a clue

So are you planning on bringing out a Mac version sometime soonish or is it not on the agenda for a while?

Actually with adult programs it's not that bad. Try to deal with most mainstream or casino programs and you will know what the word nightmare means

It depends on what your definition of soonish is. It's planned for later this year (summer/fall)...

Great news about the Mac version! I'm looking forward to it! I already subscribe to the PC version but my main machine is a Mac and now I won't have to get parallels to run it...

Not sure what you mean. We don't have access to your logins, passwords and stats at any time. StatsRemote is a desktop application that runs locally on your machine and all data is stored encrypted locally as well. Many people made tests with network monitors and there hasn't been a single security issue with StatsRemote since we released the software almost five years ago.

JB, I just though of another wish I have problems, because I cannot see all of the programs on one single page, I mean I can see the main list of programs and ccbill breakdown separately. A really nice feature would be to somehow include a ccbill breakdown in the main list, so I can track and compare ccbill programs with standalone ones. I hope you understand what I mean

Right now we only show very basic graphs though, but this will be improved later this year.

I second that.

Especially the grouping thing.

So you could setup a group of sponsors for specific project or site.
Currently I have 5 different StatsRemote installations to keep track of different projects.

It might be a good idea to read the news page from now on when you update StatsRemote
I have missed that breakdown feature for two years and find out now.

Thanks :-)

We plan to have a grouping feature for programs as you described but probably not for campaigns within programs.

Yep, but it's not really a perfect solution.

JB, how about a loyalty discount? For every year one subscribes to Statsremote, if they renew their subscription for another year, they get an x% discount on their subscription.

Be nice if the stupid program would allow you set the pay week.. Mon-Sunday or Sunday to Saturday etc.. Its kinda gay to have to do custom tab each week to see totals.

How about an option which would display only those programs that made sales that day. The window would be smaller if you have lots of programs.

A lot of our members already pay much less than before because the USD got weaker and weaker and since we're located in Europe, there definitely won't be any price reduction as long as we bill in USD and it's so weak.

We don't force anybody to use our stupid program
This is on our to-do list though

I would like optional sections. Right now you incoming (sales) and outgoing ($ spent on PPC). I'd like incoming to be broken down. This way I can put some sponsors in section 1 for 'Exit Trades' and section 2 for 'Galleries' or whatever.
