I recently came across a case where a sale generated from my site was
credited to another affiliate because the user had an existing cookie on his system ( User has visited the sponsors site from a different affiliates network 1 month ago ). from a different affiliate. So it begs the question, who is actually entitled for this particular sale ? Is it me, the site owner where the visitor made the purchase from ? or the other affiliate who the user has visited a month ago ? while cookies are there to help the affiliates, I think it can also do harm. What is your take on this.
