I won't argue that we haven't set-up (or helped set-up) governments that are still working well today. I guess my point is that when you invade a country, oust its leader then occupy that country with no time table for your leaving, it's pretty damned difficult to convice the people of that country that your way, your government is better.

There are very good ways to bring about change. Russia is a great example. We never invaded them, but we stood up to them and we worked behind the scenes to bring about change in that country. Eventally the people took over and harvested the seed we planted. Had we marched into Moscow with tanks and guns and told them communisim is bad, democracy is good we would have had a completely different response.

You really are a fool. The human race has been at war since before recorded history began, almost 5,000 years ago. Military action produces only dead bodies.

If you are near the patriot you apparently want us to believe, try being concerned that our capital city has a many homeless as there are people in many small towns. Put your bellicosity into fighting for an education system which isn't among the worst in the industrialized world. Feel shame and not pride that millions of Americans are without all but emergency healthcare, that there is a 20-year difference in longevity between rich and poor.

And if that doesn't work, think about the 9/11 your grandchildren may one day face because you supported the killing of someone's grandfather.

Does that sentiment also apply to orphans? To those with severe handicaps? To those who are mentally ill? There are over 50,000 mentally ill homeless people in California alone. You don't care about these people who can't take care of themselves?

The problem I see is that we are still performing a police action in Irag and not a real war. Just like in previous wars in the 60's and 70's we don't have enough troops in the region. I mean we only have like 120,000 troops over there. I think at the height of the Vietnam war we had half a million. It's a fucking desert. The only place the enemy has to hide is in a building or in the mountains. Lets do what should have been done in the first place and fight a real war. America always wins when they put their backs into it, but when we sit around and wine we never get anything right.

There is a fucking siple fact in all this shit: The problem isnt only with middle east, the problem is all around the worl. Most of northamerican citizens think they country is like the "world police" and that nobody can say them what to do... But they dont look to the outside, to what the other people thinks... Im at Argentina, and i can tell u something: There is not a single southamerican who thinks that USA is doing something fine, and i bet that there is a lot of ppl in the other continents thinking the same way... About middle east and africa, I DONT GIVE A DAMN BY THEM. U can resolve their problem by giving them food or help. Until they decide to stop all the wars they have going on, nobody can help them. Ppl there will just keep dying and starving, just because they use all their forces and money to pay more wars.
