Thanks Nun!

5 minutes from a convent... I have too many jokes, not enough time.

I used to drink Molson, but... I just really don't like it now. But if you're in Montreal, you probably know of Brutopia, Bieres et Compagnies and all the excellent places around here. Ahhh man, why am I in the office? Actually, why isn't there a pub across the street?

Screw Porn, I'm opening a bar!

And to the rest of you, GFY YOU PERVERTED ALCOHOLICS!

German WARSTEINER, original PILSNER, and south-australian COOPERS ALE - in this order

But I'm a wine drinker for most days... white in summer (chardonnay or white burgundy, sometimes dry riesling), red in winter (merlot or pinot noir)

Bugger - forgot the one beer which is truly my favorite - but that's because you don't find it very often:

SION KÖLSCH out of the tap; and it has to be a pub with a decent turn-over (say over 30 glasses of Kölsch per hour) - which means it's hard to find outside Cologne/Germany

Portland is the microbrew capital of the USA, and there are literally too many great choices here to limit oneself much. After all, even before the microbrew craze, we had an everyday beer here, Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve, which would have been a super premium beer anywhere else.

Locally, I frequently have Full Sail Ale, or McTarnahan's Amber Ale. There are too many really good pale ales and India pale ales made by local brewers to name them all. I think to a lot of Portlanders, your question is a puzzling one: with so many great beers to choose from, why give up adventure and limit oneself?

Seattle isn't too bad either for microbrews and we also get most of Portlands stuff. :)

I dig Mac 'n Jacks, Mirror Pond, ... too hard to pick a fav!

I heard that Budweiser's claim of being "beechwood aged" is bogus as its impossible to put that much beer that they produce into little wood vats, so they just throw a 2x4 of the wood in the huge metal vats for a minute so they can get away with it. Can this be true?
