Escrow.com is a very good, and solid medium to go through when brokering domains. I have helped in brokering some very nice sized deals through them.

Escrow.com is a reasonable service. They hold the money longer than neccesary which is annoying as the seller. The biggest issue they have is that if you transfer the name away, and the buyer quickly reverts back to your whois info, they have no way of verifying the transfer was completed. This is where there system really lacks. They should have the domain pushed to an Escrow account, where they then release the domain to the buyer. This is what Sedo does which is the right way, its just too bad Sedo as a whole is terrible.

I've used both escrow.com and moniker...both are great services....however with moniker you get a more hands on 'personal' service...

Excellent point! I never even thought about the buyer doing such a thing.

I liked Escrow's method. My sale went smooth.

I'm not the one who needs the appraisal...I have sponsor stats.

I never used them for a domain, but I did use them when I bought a diamond on ebay and everything went smoothly.
