Take On Me by A-Ha

There are so many damn good 80's songs. That era rocked! Too bad I was only alive for a little over half of it.

fucker...you stole my list...but I'd have to put "Do Unto Others" above "Best Wishes" from the CroMags and would slip in ditties like "Welcome To Hell" and "1000 Days In Sodom" by Venom and the 80's classic of all classics Slayer "Angel Of Death"

and don't forget "First Love" from Styper...hahahahah Christian metal......

I wasn't a great big fan of them, but ZZ Top was very big in the 80's. And dare I add, Jump from Van Halen.

the 80s was the dark age of music... nothing good came out of it... (but for a few exceptions...)

Michael Jackson?

Riiigghhttt.. You were just having sleep overs with those little boys... And they were sleeping in your bed with you because they were your 'friends'.

The only reason he isn't rotting in prison is because he payed off the familys of the kids he screwed. If you ask me, he doesn't deserve to be alive.

Stop talking shit, innocent until proven guilty.

Why the fuck do some of you guys always remember the bad things he's done in the past. Just leave him alone.

He's done so much for the music industry, many people respect him, alot of people want to work with him.
Its about time you people mock someone like usher, craig david
or even britney.

I think hes done too much for the music industry, you will never get someone who can create unique dance moves like in the Beat It video & Thriller,to name a few. That moonwalk he does is unique in its-self & we all know that. We're talking 55 fucking million albums for Thriller, thats alot.

Criag david sold 10 million albums last year and only made 1 pussy million, thats shit & we all know hes manufactured.

Huge fans of all three. Going to see Kreator next month and they better play the entire track listing from Extreme Aggression.

I was a huge fan of Possessed, Beyond the Gates.

Other 80s bands that should make the list.

Exodus - Bonded By Blood
Any project with King Diamond in it
Celtic Frost
Destruction
The Accused
Forced Entry
Coven

This list could get way outta hand.

oops, almost forgot Slayer.

I was quite the collector of cheesy and not so cheesy speed/death/black metal..I rememebr going througha period where I ordered about every album advertised in Metal Edge magazine...
WASP
Twisted Sister
deadhorse
Cyrith Ungol
Death Angel (especially "Frolic Through The Park")
SOD/MOD
Cities
Atrophy
Satan
Impaler
GWAR only did "Hell-O" in the 80's, but close enough for me ;)
Government Issue
GHB
The Exploited
Malice
Hirax
Destruction

time to hit the storage unit and pull out all the old cassette tapes...

and of course there was my hair band phase...Motley Crue, Nitro, Helix, Ratt and Warrant...

anyone else remember Old Skull? the speed/punk band comprised of a couple 8 and 9 year old kids? I saw them at Milwakee Metal Fest and the drummer was bashing the shit out of Stop sign for percussion....

"Celtic Frost"

Did you see what happened to them in their later years? They had three great albums then went down the tubes. I remember seeing a Celtic Frost video come on the TV with them dressed up like glam rockers. I couldn't believe my eyes, (or ears). Never heard from them again after that.

ah, yes the Cold Lake fiasco...it actually wasn't that bad of an album, definately the lesser of the Celtic Frost catalog, but I did like the song "Cheery Orchards".....no one could roar or growl like Tom G Warrior though....their version of "Mexican Radio" haunted my tape player for many years in the late80's-early 90's...

Damn.. a lot of memories when I think of 80's songs.. I wrote down about 20 songs then realized there are just too many of them..

The 80's were weird but they sure were fun. Quite different than today. In what other decade could Kirk Cameron and Emmanuel Lewis become stars? or ALF for that matter!

Some of my favorite tunes from the 80s, have to be

Night Ranger - When You Close Your Eyes
Don Henley - Boys Of Summer
The Romantics - Talking In Your Sleep
John Wait - Missing You

Here's a great link that has the top 100 tunes from EVERY year, this link goes right into the 80s, that's a great way to make you remember some tunes to get from Kazaa
