I'm a nerd and I like Star Trek

but the Star Trek movies with Picard suck balls. His TV series was the best one but his movies are shit. Even the one with the Borg that all the nerds pretend was great. If anyone is nerdy enough to know what I'm talking about speak up.

In related news I am also a nerd, and although I can't stand Star Trek I am totally digging on Battlestar Galactica. I grew up watching the original, and the new version on Sci Fi is fucking amazing. So I totally feel your pain, bro.

Beat this: My best friend's husband named their first child (a son) after Star Wars and Star Trek. First name is a Star Wars character, middle name is a Star Trek character. And I know you won't believe this, but he's really not even a nerd. I had no idea he watched either show.

Well I bought the original USS Enterprise NCC 1701-A used in the movies, at the auction last year. $52,000. Now its in a glass case in the entertainment room.

Edit: Does that qualify me as a hardcore Trek Geek?

You are my hero. I heard the 1701-D is 6ft long and went for tons of money too. How long is yours?

enterprise-D sold for $576,000, I looked it up. 1701-A is the one used in 4, 5, and 6, right?
