I posted on GFY before my first visit to Amsterdam and got GREAT info... anyone willing to impart wisdom of the tropics?

tips for my girl:

1. travel in groups larger than 2 always!
2. never set your purse down and only carry the cash you might want for the evening when you are out
3. buy your clients and potential clients hookers, they are dirt cheap and it is the gift that keeps on givin
4. never dress up, you don't need to-i went out in a bikini one night last year
5. there is no way in hell you will need a sweater or wrap or jacket, don't bring one
6. said another way; it will be in the 90s and humid, pack light or wear nothing
7. lock your door at night for god's sake. the boys will be rowdy!
8. you don't need a prescription at the pharmacy and there is one near the show hotel.
9. a helicopter ride from San Jose to Jaco is the same price as a cab and gets you there in 15 min. vs 1 1/2-2 hours.
10. don't get dehydrated
11. take tons of pics
12. miss me

hehehehe, i woke up with pinkeye one morning and sent the boys to pick up eye drops. no prescription is needed down there. i suppose if anyone woke up with a backache, toothache, limp dick, or vd they could get any drug of choice without a script. verify with the local boys, they should know

Don't buy anything that resembles salt in little baggies from the kids on the street, unless you want to pay $20 for a little bag of salt.

Yes you can get Viagra, Steroids and antibiotics without a presecription. No go on Valium though, you need a script for that.

I personally think you guys are going to be seeing the OIJ (Like the FBI) at the Costa Rica bash .. There was recently a big newspaper article about that convention here in Costa Rica, and it included all the normal horrors about having Pornographers on the loose.

stay at the condo resort with the two bedroom rooms - the main one is a dump if it's the same. it was only like $200 or something too and great rooms.

stay in groups - the area is safe but poor so groups are safer. I usually just followed lindsay - felt safer with him than if i was in a tank.

you will have fun - i had an AMAZING time there last year.

do the jungle cable ride
