I got out of it one time by conveniently 'forgetting' what day the selection process was. I called them a couple days later and they had already found however many they needed and told me not to worry about it.

when you goto court for jury selection just say you're racist, or you can't go 30 minutes without a drink, or that you hate women. whatever. you'll be dismissed.

I totally skipped out once. Didnt call, didnt show up, didnt mail, nothing. I was having my mail sent to my dads house at the time because I had moved twice in a short time span and didnt want to lose stuff, so I just figured if they ever caught up with me, I'd just say "huh? what summons?" It works for my dad and he's lived in the same place for over 20 years.
