Question for the GFY tech crew
I need to sync data on one of my PCs and my laptop.
Basically, I want all email, ICQ chat history, Skype History, cookies, bookmarks, etc. to be the same on both PCs. I've discovered that I can keep the bookmarks using Foxmarks, but I really need to mirror other custom data. Is there something that I can use to specify which dirs I want to be exactly the same every time one of them comes available on the LAN? Also, I'm assuming that it is easy to do it from the main PC to the laptop but not as easy the other way around. I need to upload all changes to my main PC when I get back. I'm thinking that I could probably get away with this using rsync in Linux, but both of these PC's are running XP SP2, hence the thread.

Yeah, bookmarks are kind of solved. How do I do it with my documents, emails, etc?

Just another simple thing that PCs can do that Macs can't. Oh, wait, stop, switch that.

Start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools > Files and Settings Transfer Wizzard...
Just follow the prompts, you'll be able to transfer pretty much anything to the other machine, my documents etc.. |
