    Just for the record: The Grammy Awards have officially turned into complete bullshit

    Not that they weren't before, but this year absolutely takes the cake for insulting one's intelligence and becoming a meaningless sham for the sake of politics. The Dixie Chicks suck serious ass on their new album... yet they won all the key Grammy Awards . [Sarcasm] Yeah, those awards weren't bought or anything [/Sarcasm].

          I've never based my music purchasing upon the Grammy awards, however I thought the Dixie Chicks performed great...I had never heard the song they played before, but I loved it.

          I haven't heard the album so I can't comment on it.

              YARGH! Not only that but Neil Sedaka wasn't even nominated. Not even for one thing! I thought for sure his latest album "Ham Sandwich For My Cats" was sure to beat out everything else released last year.

                                      When I was younger I used to look forward to Grammy night. I watched some of it and it's just so boring. I think I'm just less star struck (teary eyed celebs thanking God for their award is boring), bored with most of today's music, and bored with award shows in general. The Grammys almost seem outdated and doesn't stand out among the countless music award shows on nowadays. It's similar to porn - now their are better niche music award shows - country, hip-hop, rock, whatever etc.
