    Do you workout in the morning or evening?????

    Been doing it in the evening , but switching things up now to the morning to get the metabolism a nice boost for the rest of the day....

    No sports in the morning, I even hate sex in the morning. I just want a cig, a coffee and my girlfriend making breakfast without talking much. Looks like I'm no morning man...

        if you goal is primarily to lose fat, ideally you would do it in the morning because all of your energy will come from your body rather than food you eat... if you do it in the evening, that energy will come from food you ate in the morning..

            a general rule of thumb when it comes to dieting for fat loss...


            carb high before physical activities.. (so say it's 11:00 am, its OK to eat carbs assuming you're going to be activte at 1 to 4 pm)...

            so you obviously want to avoid foods high in carbs before sleeping.

            morning foods it's OK to eat foods that have carbs as it will provide you fuel for the rest of your day, including mental activity.. never go the no carb route. (just make sure they're clean carbs like fruits / veges)...

              so if you wanna do some cardio in the morning, also to lose a lil fat, you have to do that before breakfast?

                not *necessarily*, im saying you have the greatest chance of losing the *most* fat if you do it before you eat anything after you wake up..

                if you eat cleanly though in your initial meals, you still can lose fat of course.

                  The length of your program is more important than the time of the day as far as I know. The body is lazy, fat burning starts when all other resources easily accessible (carbs) are used up...and that's after about 30 minutes.

                    I prefer mid morning (11am ish) mostly because my gym is empty around that time... It also fits in with my schedule though, wake up, check stats, shake the cobwebs out and by the time I'm dressed and out the door it's 11

                        I had this really good work out program set up for me during the summer. I would wake up at 5AM and jog for around 30 min.Go home do some push-ups and sit-ups, as many sets as you can, then for breakfast wash as many fruits as possible (strawberries, mangos, apples, pears, bananas, grapes, oranges...) just wash and clean. Put in blender as much as blender could handle and blend!! Add some milk (just a lil' enough to get the stuff liquidy,, cuz it will be thick) and fill a couple of empty water bottles and have for the rest of the day for breakfast and lunch.

                        Excellent way to diet. Purchase a step counter and do 20 000 steps a day as much as possible and you will loose!!!
                        During the winter now, i usually do my workout in the evening.

                                Up at 5am so I can feed the animals, make breakfast and hit the gym for an hour of weight training and 30 minutes of cardio before work starts

                                  depends on my schedule. throughout the week i work out in the evenings, afternoons, and mornings. prefer very early morning. gets me going for the day. noooottt a morning person, so getting in a really hard workout gets my ass moving!
