Quick reminder - Nocarrier and his 25k

He dissapeared with 25k. 25000 of your dollars.

We havent seen any proof whatsoever that his son was indeed sick. I believe he was sick though but i also believe everything was covered by insurance.

So basically he took the money he didnt really need and left this place.

Well done idiots. This was the 3rd time or so you blindly donate money and call me an idiot for asking proof and eventually it turns out nobody knows what happened with the money and the person left gfy. Im always the big bad evil asshole in these donation threads because i actually ASK WHAT THE DONATION IS FOR. But you idiots are all suddenly sooooooo fucking social and concerned in donation threads thats its absolutely not done to ask any questions at all.

Well done Nocarrier, these people deserve to lose their money this way.

I gave, and if someone is willing to say thier kid has cancer to get some cash, then I would like to send them even more money, since they must need it more than anyone else in the world. A big thank you to people that gave was in order, and if nocarrier disappeared after many people gave the money, then maybe we got taken. If that is the case, I would pity the guy more than I would be angry at him. Don't hate us for believing in someone that says their child is sick and needs help, and for erring on the side of trusting that nobody in their right mind would do such a thing.

I didnt belive in that nocarrier story for one reason-when he asked for sig donation,first was banner with son image on it which leaded to support site,then it was replaced with movie profits banner which didnt lead to support page,it's leaded to movieprofits site.So what kind of charity is that if banner leaded to commercial site??

Whenever someone posts a "Help I need donations" thread nowadays I always wait a few weeks to see how things progress, because more often than not it turns out there is some question about their cause being legit, and sure enough it's not. I donated money to these kinds of causes years ago here and ended up later wishing I hadn't.

Fact is, we've all seen enough of these cases of certain people not having proper insurance and they get caught with their pants down. We've certainly seen enough of it that everyone should now know it doesn't pay to not have insurance. Hell, I'm a canuck, we get bascially free health care, yet I still have critical illness insurance just in case I ever do have to go south of the border for special treatment. In this day and age it should be a no brainer.

In short, no... I did not jump to the paypal send button on this one. After all is said and done I still don't know if Nocarrier's kid was actually sick and needing tens of thousands of dollars for special treatment in the US.

I've donated to the Red Cross for hurrican/flood/tsunami relief, I donated for 9/11 relief, was among the first to send a few bucks to far-L's coalition cause in thier fight against Acacia, etc. Those causes are bonified legit and I feel good about donating to them.
