I got two 19 inch widescreen samsungs Syncmaster 931bw.....

yeah I'm really liking that Acer, we have had goodluck with them on other models and reviews I have read have been pretty good on them.

I'm EXTREMELY happy with my samsungs.

I just purchased a 20" widescreen Dell. Im very happy with it.
However doing HD video editing Im thinking of getting a 30" widescreen too. :)

Don't forget your going to need a video card that can throw the Resolution your monitor needs to look good.

Check the "Optimal" resolution of whatever monitor you get and make sure your Video Card can do it... or get one that can.

LCD Monitors can work at different resolutions.. but anything but the optimal looks like shit.

was about to type the same.. i have a dual setup and they have been working for about 2 years now 24/7..

get the 22in widescreen

get three and have them all linked so you can have three moniters that are connected, very useful. Drag between all three.

Samsung 931BF or 941BW. Two of the best 19" monitors on the market

or go for broke and get the monster FPD2485W 24" Gateway widescreen.. fucking beautiful.. and bright with 400cd/m2 brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio (which is really good for a widescreen) 6ms response time and supports HDCP (Vista requires HDCP to display 1080p Hi-Def content).

I'm for that also... For real.. I've been on dual setups and they are a pain in the ass. Much easier to manage a single screen.

The only time a dual setup was handy was if I wanted to monitor(keep an eye) on something like a stock graph or watch TV

These may help you choose.... they are not super accurate(and probably give the 19" more area then it deserves)... but close enough for you to see that your still getting almost as much as space as a dual setup.
