So, most of us knows that backlinks are as important as an aircon is in summer.
but is'nt this whole backlink optimization gone over the line by now  Love to hear some comments on this ...

You can get to many backlinks if they are coming in from non-relevant sources. You can't over optimize backlinks if they are coming from relevant sources.
