key for the niners is the front 7 on d. early talk is peterson and winborn look amazing in camp. hopefully mora allows out guys to make plays. i think we were way too conservative last year on defense.

i don't think mathews is as good as dilfer. 49ers d is extremely fast with tons of playmakers. plummer is one of the best corners and he's still improving.

i think mora holds back our d from being great. seems like he plays not to lose, but doesnt take many chances with blitz packages.

exhibition games hardly matter.

Question mark at QB though. Fiedler coming off surgery looks shakey at best. Ray Lucas waiting in the wings. Where have you gone Dan Marino?

Fiedler will be fine, he just needs to avoid a beating while his hip recovers from the recent surgery. I am not sold on Williams as a back - he fumbles - A LOT. If he doesn't cough up the ball like he has in the past, he'll really help that team. But right now, I'd take a lot of backs over him, even within the division. 1000 yards isn't worht shit if you give it away 2 x's/game.
