This bank just posted this..I've never heard of it, but I hope its not a trend..for some of those countries at least..

Only this bank has banned them, I bet each has its own list.

I wouldn't read too much into that list, it's simply a US-based bank explaining that they will refuse transactions on your card that originate from certain geographical locations. It's a consumer card protection, nothing to do with merchant accounts, so unless your processor is in Libya (or you holiday in Mexico) you probably have nothing to worry about.
