No actually it doesn't, first of all it depends where you are located. Some
parts get hotter, some colder, and the majority of places both, hotter in the
summer, colder in the winter and wetter overall. so basically bigger changes,
more extreme weather. Tell the 350K people in Jakarta that just lost their
homes this week there's nothing wrong with our climate and that it's all normal.

Interesting. So tell me Genius.. When was the last time they had floods this bad?

Has that area never flooded before, or is it nearly a yearly occurrence? Did they have floods this bad in the past? Or is this due to me using a can of aquanet in 1986?

This is the kind of stupidity that pisses me off. An Island known for yearly rainfall that causes flooding gets blamed on "global warming".

Yes Ive heard HomeGrown Video is struggling... I hope someday Im doing that badly..

Wait is there a vegan pagan powered conspiracy against global warming now? Have the Christians and the Pagans joined forces to battle the evil empire of Al Gorests?

I know be careful the earth changes climate. She's been doing it for millions upon millions of years, but the last 100 years has been the worst of all times. I heard 1000 years ago that the cars from LA were the cause of Death Valley!

All I gotta say on this issue is that the purpose of a science is to provide a basis for predictability. As of now, Global Climate science doesnt predict shit.

Does that mean that nothing is happening with our climate? no. Does that mean that all the research is invalid? no.

All it means is that it's a shitty science - but lots of sciences were shitty sciences at some point, Im sure it'll get better and they'll actually be able to predict results.

I enjoy the responses. Like anything any of us post concerning such large issues makes a shit of difference. Its called entertainment.
(This is LadyM) The earth does not spin perfectly all the time. It has a slight wobble on it's axis as it performs it's orbit around the sun, sort of like a top that wobbles when it's not perfectly aligned (which the earth is not). It's a predictable wobble that has been noted and observed by astromoners since ancient times. That cycle is called precession (Known in astronomy as the Precession of the Equinoxes).. it's a roughly 21,000 year cycle that, depending on where the earth is in the precessional cycle, can dramatically affect climate (among other things).

Brilliant use the temperature in one city on one day to make your point.
Try using the average temperature for the entire planet on a yearly basis.

Let me see my house has never been robbed since I moved here so that must mean that there haven't been any robberies in California in the past 3 years.

The effect of global warming isn't an increase in temp that you wake up one day and notice. So comments like "It's cold here! So much for global warming." are usually coming from fools.

Funny you say that, because the low atmospheric temperatures (surface temps) that are used in global warming studies are simply a composite of temperature readings just like this one. As pointed out in the IPCC study (that obviously no one has actually read...)

From page 9:

"Difficulties remain in reliably simulating and attributing observed temperature changes at smaller scales. On these scales, natural climate variability is relatively larger making it harder to distinguish changes expected due to external forcings. Uncertainties in local forcings and feedbacks also make it difficult to estimate the contribution of greenhouse gas increases to observed small-scale temperature changes"

Which means "All the temperature data we have at the local level is useless".

But hey, who actually wants to read the whole report, or consider the source data.. that would take away from all the fun!

I don't think you can use 3 days of weather to determine the global warming debate. We had 65 degrees in the beginning of January here in Chicago the year. I guess we had horrible global warming and then it fixed itself in February.
