Not when you work for customs, their job is to open mail. I used to get opened mail from china all the time when i used to order *questionable* DVDs. Sometimes they'd just grab one or two and send the rest, which was fine for me because LOTR wasn't out on dvd yet at that point

I get packages from Korea, Japan, Thailand, the PI, all the time, some are opened by customs, some are not opened, it all depends on if they happen to pick your package that day, or if (don't know if it really is true or not) you've been flagged by customs.

Funny most these people aren't complaining about paying Social Security, Medicare, they were temporary fixes for the great depression but here we are almost 90 years later..

My mom was a snowbird (Florida) and as one of her Christmas presents one year I sent her a box of her favorite chocolates not available in the US.

They arrived and my mom could tell customs opened the package. The shrink wrap (from the candy company) was missing and when she opened the box, someone had stuck their finger in every single chocolate in the box. Obviously, the $75 I had spent on the chocolates (not including postage) was a total waste, the chocolates went in the garbage.

I was so upset lol
