I say we were fortunate as hell to stumble accross it, tape it, and get a little research on it done before it left its mortal coil.

I don't think they killed it. It did swim up to the surfice for some reason. Maybe because the shark was sick and was going to die?!?!

She did come up on her own, that much is true. But they MOVED the shark! They took her from the water and put her in a seawater pool where they then filmed her. She died shortly afterwards. Those fuckers at Awashima are true assholes.

Most likely it was on its way out anyway. When critters like this come up from 2000' of water, it isn't because they are bored. Usually it is because they are sick/dying.
