printer isn't responding any more for some reason
just wondering if you guys might be able to shed some light on a problem im having. for some reason the printer on my girlfriends computer isn't responding any more. nothing was changed, i have no idea why all of a sudden it doesn't work but i was wondering what i can do to check what the problem might be. when i try and print something it just tells me the the document failed to print and 'error' in the print queue. no idea why.

Unplug it. Plug it back in. Delete the print queue. Remove it from the computer. Reinstall, plug into another USB port.

The drivers may have been corrupt?

I assume it's an USB and no parallel port printer ? Make sure you always plug it in the same port and try a different driver, a friend of mine had random printer errors as well until he completely removed the old driver and used a different one.

very similar problem here since over a month, printer wont work anymore and every few hours suddenly i get "new usb device detected" mixed with some "usb error" messages every two seconds
unpluging wont help, i'm not motivated enough to fix it, (I dont use the printer every day), but I guess I'll have to do something with it eventualy
