    Somebody's Stealing My Domains

    I have been doing domain searches and buying domains. I come up with some good ones and buy like 8 at a time. But, when I go back to buy the ones I didn't get, they are now taken. How do they find the domains that I do a search for? I hate that shit. Some are gone in as little as an hour, like last night. Is there a way to block or stop the spying?

                  depends on where you're searching, they log all searches and scan through them, if there is anything valuable to them in there, they register them

                          I didn't know they did that. I used 1and1 and a couple of others. Where is a good place to check domains that won't take my domains?

                                      these people are right about why they are disappearing, although please keep in mind that these domains weren't ever actually "yours" since you didn't register them. if you find a domain you like that is available whip out the creditcard and register it *IMMEDIATELY*..!

                                              don't get me wrong friend, you are right on that account. some registrars are notorious for going through their records looking for gems that were searched for, some othes here could probably recommend the safer search locales for domains online, i don't really know. but when you find a good one, jump on it..!

                                                  check back 4-5 days after they were registered.

                                                  sometimes they are dropped during the grace period.
