I had a couple of glasses of some really nice wine last night, A Yarra Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Any ideas on whether or not the greazy food thing works?
I am hungry, but feel like throwing the fuck up! lol...
any advice appreciated!

Greasy food doesn't work. Some kind of absorbant food would though. Bread, crackers, stuff like that.

However, for the hangover and cotton mouth these pills work by encouraging higher water absorption:

That's a tough one...the feeling-hungry-but-still-want-to-chuck situation! At that stage of a hangover I don't think your body really knows what it wants. Maybe try a very small amount of some fatty, greasy, shit food (like one bite) and take it from there? As a general rule, IF you can get it down, you will feel better quicker! If all else fails...I have found that laying 100% still and not moving for a very long time (like a day) is also quite effective,...even if a little unpractical

If in doubt, just get drunk again...and deal with it tomorrow instead!

The best hangover cure I've found is chicken noodle soup and saltine crackers.
2nd best would be Clamato juice. Good to hear you got better. hangovers suck to battle thru.

I started drinking at an early age and through the years, I've learned that the best cure for a hangover is following steps to not have one in the first place.

1) Don't mix drinks. If you start with vodka, keep drinking vodka until the night ends.

2) Drink water often during the night and when you get home.

3) Eat small bits throughout the night.

4) Have a good dinner before you start drinking.

5) Find one drink that doesn't give you a hangover and make it your new regular drink. Champagne kills me the morning after, so no bubbles for me. Heineken is the one beer that will never give me a hangover. Good scotch does it for me too, since I'm drinking water from the melted ice and hydrating my body as I go.

Thats about it. Never worry about a hangover again!

Call me master of the obvious, but this is the method I use to be able to be productive the day after and it works.

My method is a few litres of water, tylenol, a mcchicken sandwich, and 6 chicken mcnuggets (the only time I step foot in a mcdonalds)... Within 30 min I feel right as rain.

I barely get hangovers anymore though, it's gotta be one hella fucked up night with lots of beverage mixing.
