Bank of America Closing Business Accounts?

Interesting news a few people we know about 15 of them in adult industry have had their bank accounts including us closed today. Bank of Americas comment on this is "It is our business decision to not deal with your account". Never late pays plenty of money in accounts. What gives?

Just curious how they would even know. Most checks and wires we receive don't mention anything about adult.

Hasn't this happened in the past as well? I'm almost certain BoA is known for closing accounts if they don't like adult.

IMO I'd almost think if enough people got together they could sue them for discrimination.

BofA has historically not wanted to be associated with adult so don't be too surprised if they shut down accounts for it.

Ive seen posts about Bank of America closing accounts associated with adult every now and then...

do you think its a written policy of their bank, or more of a branch decision?

Nobody I know got really notified per say, CCBILL emailed us this morning and said the wire came back "Account Closed" So called up Bank of A Business and they gave me a number for some guy who basically said it was their choice on whose business to keep accepting. Other people told similar stories. Its basically a day of bullshit and tons of affliliate checks to reprint and redo.

Did you issue checks with your "special logo" on it or affiliate IDs like "fuckcock2".

I remember people calling me a stupid assed crybaby when I brought this up about a sponsor check. I hope you weren't one of them.

Bank of America is so big that they wont miss your adult related business.

I like to do business with smaller localy owned banks if I can instead of the huge megacorporate banks.

In a sense they do.. but if they are singling out a certian groups that have done nothing wrong, then that's discrimination.

I'm not a sue happy person but I'd think about a class action suite over something like this. They are causing peoles business harm and costing them money by closing accounts with no notice.

Abdolutely! Those bastards are breaking the US Constitution!

"Acticle 1. Banks may not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, or if the account holder is an online pornographer."

Well, I probably shouldn't say anything, but I was just at BofA this afternoon, and they did not say anything about closing any of my accounts.

What are you guys doing, having porn names for your account name?

No shit, I have several accounts with BoA, IRA's, money market, personal and business, never any problems... but then again my checks are 100% clean, if affiliates want information they can look it up in their stats

I also dont get checks from ccbill, epoch or any other third party place

as i recall, the hawgs and silvercash both had accounts closed by b of a. and their business names were not porn names. you would never know from the appearance and names on the checks what type of businesses they had. of course, for all i know they were sending checks to affiliates with businesses like All Anal Sex Incorporated and Horny Black Holes LLC.
